About Kidscatchup
Kidscatchup is a South African literacy initiative that helps young children catch up on the reading, writing and number skills they need to succeed at school.
The Kidscatchup Series
The Kidscatchup Series workbooks were written by South African educator Ugashnee Sanasey (© 2012). They grew out of remedial work with Foundation Phase learners, including many children learning in a language that is not their home language, and children who had simply fallen behind.
The series covers phonics, literacy, reading, vocabulary and early maths in short, structured steps, with activities aligned to the CAPS Foundation Phase curriculum.
Interactive editions
Every workbook is now available as an interactive online book at lms.kidscatchup.co.za. Children can tap to hear words, write and draw directly on the page and check their own answers on a phone, tablet or classroom screen. The online books are free to read, work offline once opened, and carry no advertising.
Working with schools and partners
We supply printed class sets and interactive access to schools, and work with NPOs and corporate social investment (CSI/CSR) programmes that want to sponsor literacy support for a school or community. Request a quote or email info@kidscatchup.co.za.
